Swamp Mud Application Instructions

Swamp Mud is a thick textured base coat that is designed to create the "tooth" or "grooves" on a non sand able surface such as plastic laminate. This "tooth" allows paint to adhere to the laminate surface. It can also be used to create a faux 2 color faded paint look.

Swamp Mud Application for laminate :
Brush on a generous coat of Swamp Mud and allow to dry completely. It will lose its shine when it's dry.

Next brush on two coats of your favorite No-Wax Chock Paint and allow complete drying time between coats.

Apply the Antiquing Glaze if desired, and finish with one to two coats of Satin Luster of Lack Luster. Allow to cure for 24 hours before putting into gentle daily use.

Swamp Mud May also be diluted slightly to be used as a base primer to help cover dark surfaces. Once diluted apply a generous coat of Mud and allow to dry completely. Brush on 2 coats of Chock Paint to cover. Distress and glaze as you choose.
